So about 10 seconds ago my little family had a conversation.
I'm sitting here on my laptop checking the favorite blogs and Todd is laying on the couch with Roman positioned on his lap.
Now understand that Roman these days, has become quite the mimic. He copies everything.
for instance, just today, we were in the living room and Rome was looking out the window when all the sudden he screams "Ma-la-la-la-ly!" (his name for the cute neighbor girl across the street)
So I asked him if he wanted to go outside and say hi to her!
He smiled, looked out the window once more, then started running for the door yelling "Happy Day!" over and over.
He learned that last weekend while trying to get him to say "happy birthday" to Gentry.
but back to my story.
Roman while jabbering and snuggling Todd, says "na-na you mama!"
Which I know is "I love you mama."
So i say "I love you Roman" and we go back and forth 5 or 6 times until he changes it to
"you dada" and Todd starts in with the I love you's also.
Rome continues going back and forth from "you mama" and you dada" when he suddenly changes it to "you woof woof"
then "you doda" *Koda* (He loves that dang dog so much. not sure why.)
then "you mamadaddy."
and it pretty much ends there.
He just makes us laugh everyday. We are in awe at the things he's able to do. I totally wonder at times what's going through his mind. And i know it's totally cliche to say "they grow up so fast", but they do! I really keep thinking "enjoy this stage while it last" while hoping time slows down. Really though! I came to the realization the other day that in 15 years, I'm gonna be 40! And that doesn't seem all that far away. Lame to be worried I know. It's just life is so short. Guess we better make of it what we can.

That is just so cute. I can just hear his little voice as I read that. It really is amazing the things they learn, and how life goes by so fast.
He is the cutest little guy ever...
CC you are so smart to enjoy the moments. They do go by fast. It is so great that you are keeping that perspective. Your an amazing mom.
