My Husbands Wonderful Mohawk

I came home from my parents house to Todd's new haircut! He did it himself! I was definitely surprised. He came upstairs with some of my hair stuff asking which of it he needed to bleach it. That part I helped with cuz he was about to do it himself and nothing was stopping him. I didn't want him turning it bright orange or give himself blisters from the bleach on his scalp. Last summer he shaved his head and loved it! And since that was his plan again for this summer the warm weather must have gotten to him and he decided to try this out before he shaves it completely!

Softball!

Softball season is here again. For years we've spent our summers at the ball park and I love it. This year I'm not on the team. I'm just a substitute (some one's got to watch Rome) But so far I've played in two of the three games. (Grandmas turn to watch him!) I love it though. It's lots of fun.

I just want to say how freakin' excited I am for summer! I love warm weather. Not needing a jacket is wonderful! I can't wait to get a tan (so my legs won't be whiter than my moms anymore!) and to be able to wear shorts. I've been wanting to take Rome to the pool so bad. Hopefully he'll love the water. I'm definitely a beach girl! Me and Todd have taken some fun trips to warm places but none recently so it's way over due to be in the sun. I'm aching for the warmth. Bring on 100 degree weather. I love it!

We just got rome's 3 month pictures done. He didn't give any big smiles but they're still adorable!

Babies!!

Rome got an adorable little cousin Katie on Jan. 18th. Exactly one week after he was born. It's so fun to see the two of them together since they're so close in age. She's so beautiful. I'm so excited to have a niece. (Especially since having a nephew is awesome!) It's gonna be so neat watching them grow.

Lots of Loves

My nephew Drew is so dang cute! He loves Roman so much and is so sweet to him always wanting to give him kisses. Every time he sees him he wants to hold "baby Rome" and have his picture taken while doing it. It's crazy to see how big Drew is next to Roman.

Having Roman has been a complete lifestyle change for me. Before i was always busy working or doing something. It's been so wonderful though. I wouldn't change it for the world! I never knew the happiness that comes with having a child. I've heard it a million times but I never came close to understanding before. My capacity to love has grown so much since the first time I held him. I hope he'll always know and feel my love for him. I've got greater appreciation for my husband too. He does so much for our little family. Thanks Todd.

POOR LITTLE GUY!

We had a scare with Rome about a week after he was born. He was admitted to the hospital for dehydration and failure to thrive. He lost a whole pound weighing 5lbs. 7oz. which was about 20% of his body weight after he was born. (normal is 10%) We didn't realize how bad he was until he got better. Here are some pics from when he was in the hospital and after he got out.

New Baby!

I'm brand new to this blogging thing and I've got a lot of things to catch up on. We had Our first baby on Jan. 11th, 2008. He's been such a blessing to our little family and we are so incredibly grateful that he was sent to us. He's a few pictures from when he's just a few hours old!
